Cooper Landing is located on the Kenai Peninsula, approximately 100 miles South of Anchorage and approximately 60 miles East of Kenai. If traveling by vehicle from Anchorage, you will be driving along one of the most beautiful scenic routes on the Seward Highway, a National Scenic Byway and All-American Road. You will have a two hour drive to take in and enjoy Alaska’s beauty starting with the Turnagain Arm inlet and then being led into the mountains of Turnagain Pass.

Allow yourself some time to view wildlife, watching for Dall Sheep and Mountain Goats along the hillside, and sometimes just a few feet from the highway. Catch sight of the Beluga and Killer Whales during their swim in the inlet. As you continue on to the Kenai Peninsula, follow the highway up and through the mountains, and be sure to watch for eagles soaring and moose grazing in the marshes. Turn at the “Y” towards Soldotna and you will arrive in Cooper Landing knowing that you have just witnessed and will continue to witness some of the most memorable sites of Alaska!
